Go For Regular Checkups & Cleanings
Having regular dental checkups and cleanings, both during and after your orthodontic treatment, is important because you need to get rid of any hard plaque and check your oral health. With regular checkups, your dentist can look at your teeth and gums to make sure you have a healthy smile and can catch any problems early with an exam and x-rays. Making treatment a lot easier and cheaper.
Eat a Healthy Diet
A healthy diet full of fruits and vegetables, lean protein, low-fat dairy, complex carbs, and good fats can do a lot for your oral health. Don’t get cavities by eating and drinking too many sweets and sugary drinks.
Wear a Mouthguard When Playing Sport
When playing sports like hockey, rugby, or football, a mouthguard can protect your nice, straight teeth from getting hurt. After getting Invisalign, it would be very annoying to lose a tooth because of an elbow to the face or a bad spill.
