Teeth straightening

Revolutionise your smile and boost your appearance with a straighter set of teeth. At Bourne End Dental, we offer bespoke orthodontic and cosmetic dentistry treatments at our state-of-the-art Maidenhead orthodontic centre.

Orthodontics has come a long way since fixed metal braces – scientific advances have led to new, more discrete, and short-term tooth alignment treatments available for patients.

Our qualified Maidenhead orthodontist will fit virtually every brace option available! So, if you’re interested in gaining straighter teeth either with traditional braces or removable aligners, we can help.

What’s involved in professional teeth straightening?

Tooth alignment issues are corrected using a fixed brace or removable aligner, slowly shifting your teeth into a more aesthetic position. By closing tooth gaps and correcting crooked or protruding teeth using braces, a beautiful smile is achieved.

Braces are also used to treat overbites and underbites that can hinder a person’s self-confidence and erode crucial tooth enamel.

Our experienced Maidenhead orthodontists undergo years of rigorous training to fit brace systems and take pride in providing the best in patient-centred care, helping every patient to achieve the smile they have dreamt of.

What braces do we offer?

Bourne End Dental Orthodontics in Maidenhead offers a selection of teeth-straightening treatments that will enhance your smile.

Removable Braces

The technology behind invisible orthodontics in Maidenhead is highly advanced, giving patients discrete straightening and shorter treatment times, depending on their individual case.

We provide a range of different aligner treatments for you to choose from including:

Invisalign

Invisalign is favoured by adults with professional careers who don’t feel comfortable having an unsightly metal brace.

This world-renowned treatment takes on average 12 months to conclude and involves using custom-made plastic trays to align your teeth.

Every two weeks, you’ll be provided with a different-sized clear aligner that must be worn for around 22 hours daily to straighten your teeth.

Inman Aligner

The Inman aligner uses two spring-powered aligner bows to gently squeeze your teeth together and straighten them.

You need to wear your custom aligner between 16-20 hours a day to achieve fantastic straightening results.

Fixed Braces

If opting for a fixed brace system, the patient’s braces will be non-removable – only uninstalled by an orthodontist when treatment has concluded.
Types of fixed braces include:

Metal braces

These braces involve traditional metal brackets fixed to the front of your teeth connected by metal archwires.

The wires need to be tightened by an orthodontist every 4-10 weeks to continue the teeth straightening process.

CFast

This treatment works exactly the same as metal braces, however, the CFast brackets and wires are tooth coloured and more discrete.

Lingual Braces

We offer lingual braces that are fixed to the backs of your teeth, making them virtually invisible from the front.

Like metal braces, they require tightening every 4-10 weeks.

Orthodontic services for children

We offer private orthodontics in Maidenhead for children, including fixed, discrete and removable braces. Simply choose the treatment that best suits your child’s needs.

“After a consultation with Andrew Chandrapal, I felt he really was confident that we could correct my bite and my front upper teeth.

One tooth was very far forward and thinning and chipping from wear and tear. I didn’t want to wear fixed braces and Andrew explained that I could use slip on braces that would be adjusted regularly.

As long as I wore them for the recommended hours a day and night the problem would be fixed within 6 months. In fact, I was so keen to make the changes I managed it in 4 months.

Not painful or intrusive to the teeth at all. I highly recommend Andrew – fabulous work!”
